I heard about Tristan through his friend Mason our freshman year of college. I was a weekend suitcase student at Iowa State visiting my friend Ellen and attending all the dorm and frat parties! One weekend Ellen, Mason, and I were talking about our dream boyfriends/girlfriends - I said I wanted a farmer and Mason said he had the perfect person for me! I added Tristan on Facebook that night in February of 2016 and that was the last of it for a few years. I should have known that a farm boy wasn't going to stick around on the weekends and really live that college experience 🤪 Fast forward to December of 2018, Ellen and I were going out for our roommates birthday on Welch Ave. Our roommates friends from high school and their roommate were also going to come out and celebrate. Tristan happened to be the roommates date that night and I thought he was just the cutest thing and shocked he actually existed! Ellen was my wingwoman that night making little moves that got us to talk. What really sold it was Tristan taking a spin on the stripper pole in Sips! Ellen messaged Tristan that night asking what his thoughts were, but of course he had to consider the date he was with that night. A month later, a week before my birthday, Tristan finally added me on snapchat (crazy, I know) and I thought maybe he would have snapped me to start a conversation. Finally on my birthday, where ISU cancelled classes for the first time in a long time because of the '19 polar vortex, he snapped me a picture of him putting plastic on his windows! I was watching Coco, drinking my coffee, and ran upstairs to put makeup on just to snap him back. I had asked him if he wanted to come out for my birthday that weekend and he agreed! That spring we hung out in a group where Tristan, along with a few others, showed off their handstand skills! He asked me that night if I wanted to go on a date since we didn't get a lot of time to talk! I chose a scary/suspensful movie for us to go see. He hates scary movies and I was terrified of having to make conversation so it seemed like the best option! Our second date was getting Chick-Fil-A and watching Tommy Boy. I was, again, too nervous to even eat and we sat in silence while watching the movie, which if you know Tristan, this is one of his favorite movies that he will giggle until he's red! I didn't know that Mason was at the house and he was baffled there was no talking and no laughing and was questioning how this date was still going! We hung out a few more times by the time school ended and summer began. Tristan was in his friend Caleb's wedding July 20th, 2019 and I was out celebrating my friend Bailey's 21st birthday. By the time midnight came and Tristan was back at a friends house hanging out, we managed to talk on the phone while sitting in Cafe B. Ellen and Tristan's other friend Zach, schemed and took our phones and changed our relationship status on Facebook. The next day we agreed to keep it and see where this went! Now at the verge of a common law marriage, we're going to be making this a legal marriage! And we are so excited to share this day with our family and friends have been there during each step of our relationship!!

Furman Aquatic Center includes a 550-foot lazy river with a waterfall (Kelcie's personal favorite spot) and two large water slides, each more than 200 feet long. The 50-meter pool features a 150-foot drop slide, basketball hoops, a 3-meter platform and a 1-meter springboard. A 5,000-square-foot recreational pool includes zero-depth entry, spray features, a large play structure, a children’s slide and a toddler slide. $7 for kids and adults
